Established in 1984 as a Fire Protection Association, the Wolf Creek Fire Protection District has been serving 200 square miles of rural St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve Counties for over 40 years. Our district has grown from a single pumper housed in a rental garage to a fleet of 11 modern fire apparatus and specialty vehicles housed in an eight bay, two story fire house with plans to construct two more fire houses in the near future and highly trained firefighters.
The Wolf Creek Fire Protection District serves a population of approximately 7000 full time residents with a summertime population of approximately 10,000 to 15,000 full and part time residents and visitors to the wineries, parks, businesses, lake developments and Boy Scouts of America Camp S Bar F. Our district is located in Southeast Missouri approximately 70 miles south of St. Louis. We cover 11 miles of NB US Hwy 67. Our district is 200 square miles and consists of a mixture of neighborhoods, farms, commercial, residential, tourist destinations, national forest, state parks and wineries.
The Wolf Creek Fire Protection District is an all-hazards response district that offers a wide range of services to the community including but not limited to fire suppression, rescue operations, hazardous materials response, EMS response, fire prevention and community outreach programs. Our district also partners with local organizations to provide free smoke detectors to residents in need.
